Completion requirements
Complete the following:
- Pick up any required keys from the front office or HR manager who hired you.
- Take time to familiarize yourself with campus.
- Obtain an ID card if you need one for travel or at your supervisor's recommendation. Often there is a process where you take a selfie and send it off to a designated department.
- Review the Health and Safety Policy to learn about the health and safety requirements of your new position.
- Learn how and when to submit an incident report/ what to do If you are involved in an incident.
- Download and install any recommended apps on your smartphone.
- Sign up for campus Alerts.
- Learn how, and when, to contact Security.
- Ensure relocation expense reimbursements are submitted (if applicable).
Your role may include travel. Travel expenses are normally claimed using a travel expense form, available online. Visit OneTRU to read more about travel. - Read our travel expenses policy ADM 19-0 here.
- Set up regular check-in meetings for yourself and your manager.
- Review the following:
- Injuries At Work
- Contacting Security
- Working Alone
- All Policies
- Responsible Use of Information Technology Facilities and Services Policy
- Smoking Policy
- Respectful Workplace and Harassment Prevention Policy
- Institution Standards of Conduct and Guidelines
