    • Do I have to complete all the modules?

That depends on what kind of experience you are looking for! This course is designed to be flexible and allows you to choose when to complete the modules and in what order.

      • If you are interested in earning a certificate of completion, you will need to complete the 5 core modules (which includes the Module assessments). We have also included an optional bonus module, if interested.
      • If you are not interested in earning a certificate, feel free to complete any number of modules and choose whether or not you want to participate in the assessments.
If you are looking to earn a certificate and want some structure, we recommend moving through the modules sequentially, and aim to complete one module per week (or in a timeframe that works for your schedule).
    • What can I expect in each module?

Each module contains two main elements:

      1. Module Book

The book contains the module content that is delivered in a variety of formats such as text, video, and audio. It also has mini activities embedded throughout to get you engaging with and thinking about the material.

You can download or print each book by selecting a book link and selecting "More" below the book title to choose a print option.

Hint: when going through the module books, you can navigate between sections using the "next" and "previous" buttons or open the collapsible block drawer to see the table of contents:

      2. Module Assessment(s)

The assessments have been designed to provide you with choice. Each module assessment has 2-3 prompt options that you can respond to.

For the assessments, we are looking for a clear response that addresses the prompt and demonstrates some reflection that is supported with examples, where applicable. How you approach this is up to you! For example, you can write a text-based reply, make a video, or record an audio clip. The intent is to provide options to make the reflection meaningful and applicable to your practice.

      • If you are submitting a text-based response, you can:
        • write your response in the text box area (we recommend drafting your response in a word processor of your choice and copying and pasting it into the text box area) OR
        • attach your response as a PDF or Word Document
      • If you are submitting a video or audio clip, you can:
        • use the "Embed Kaltura Media" button to upload the clip to Kaltura and embed it in your post OR
        • use the "record audio" or "record video" buttons to create a quick audio or video recording (limited to 2 minutes)

    • I have completed the 5 core modules. How do I receive my certificate?

Once you have completed the 5 core modules, your certificate will be automatically issued and emailed to you. Also, you will be able to download your certificate from the Inclusive Digital Design Certificate activity on the home page.
